TOULON ( 25News Now ) - A Toulon man who had been on pretrial release is back in jail facing 36 child pornography and several other charges.

A judge on Monday ordered Alex R. Nowlan, 32, to be jailed after Toulon Police said they found images of child pornography on electronic devices.

Authorities said they seized those devices while investigating allegations in August that Nowlan made a threatening phone call to a person, violating a protection order.

During a search, police said they also recovered narcotics and weapons.

Saturday, police said they arrested Nowlan after a brief car chase. Online court records indicate Nowlan was on pretrial release with GPS electronic monitoring for charges including harassment, intimidation, and violating the protection order.
