Apple is ramping up for its annual event, where leaders are expected to announce the latest, highly anticipated iPhone 17.

Apple's "Awe Dropping" event kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 9. While the company doesn't announce an itinerary for the gathering, experts and media reports project the iPhone 17 will be announced, which has been rumored to feature Apple's first custom-designed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip.

The smartphone is predicted to be roughly the same as the iPhone 16 but with a larger front-facing camera (24-megapixels compared to 12-megapixels) and longer battery life.
