JONES COUNTY, Ga. — The Jones County Fire Department is fighting a home that is on fire Tuesday morning, according to Fire Chief Thomas Coleman.

Coleman says the call came in at around 10:15 a.m. Fire crews were sent to Largo Drive, which is a residential area off Grisworldville Road.

The home is "fully involved," which essentially means the fire HAS consumed the entire structure, Coleman said.

Coleman says that it appears that everybody appears to have gotten out of the home alive.

The Jones County Sheriff's Office asks the public to avoid the area.

The fire appeared to be largely extinguished at around 11:13 a.m.

Crews still were blocking off the road and working around the site of the fire.
