The 17-year-old male killed Sept. 7 in a single-vehicle crash in Green has been identified as Dylan Channell, from Green, Gary Guenther of the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed.

Deputies originally responded to the scene of the crash at about 2 a.m. Investigators determined Channell, who was driving a 2011 Suzuki Kizashi heading south on South Arlington Road, lost control of the vehicle, went off the road and into a ditch before overturning several times.

Channell, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and died after being transported to Summa Health Akron.

He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and alcohol appeared to be a factor, Ohio State Highway Patrol noted.

The crash remains under investigation.
