The 16-year-old Staffa teenager will be one of a handful of drivers to represent Impact Motorsports and Canada at the Youth Nationals demolition derby in Washington Court House, Ohio, early next month. Drivers can only attend the North American event if nominated by promoters.

Originally chosen last year for his skill at manoeuvring around the demolition derby ring, his driving skill and sportsmanship, Clarke broke his wrist in a May 2024 race, forcing his withdrawal. Since he doesn’t turn 17 until December, he still had eligibility in the 13- to 16-year-old youth class this year so has been preparing ever since.
