Police have arrested a Brooklyn man for allegedly stabbing his 70-year-old neighbor to death at his home in what authorities say was an ongoing dispute, NYPD officials said Tuesday.
Josny Jean, 31, is facing charges of murder and criminal weapons possession in the death of Canarsie resident Frederick Howard, authorities said. Police said Howard was assaulted inside his building on East 87th Street near Avenue M and was taken with stab wounds to his chest to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead Monday.
NYPD officers arrested Jean around 11 p.m. in connection with the stabbing, according to officials. The men lived in the same building, police said.
The Brooklyn district attorney’s office said Jean was awaiting arraignment Tuesday. His attorney information was not immediately
