Police have launched a probe after a campervan was torched outside a home in Fife .
Fire crews were called to Overton Mains in Kirkcaldy after the alarm was raised at around 1.30am on Tuesday.
In a picture, which was taken from the scene, the campervan could be seen to be engulfed in flames.
A large plume of black smoke could be seen billowing up into the sky as firefighters scrambled to the scene.
Crews spent over an hour battling the inferno before leaving at around 2.40am after ensuring the area was made safe. No one was injured as a result of the blaze.
