The Pittsburgh Steelers got a big comeback win over the New York Jets in Week 1 of the NFL season. That victory though came with a price. Some Pittsburgh players got banged up including defensive back DeShon Elliott. Elliott is missing a couple of weeks due to a MCL sprain , per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

The injury is not considered serious, so that is some good news.

“The goal is to be back for Week 4 vs the Vikings in Ireland. In the meantime, Pittsburgh has signed Jabrill Peppers,” Schultz posted to X, formerly Twitter.

Elliott posted six tackles for the Steelers against the Jets, including five solo stops. Pittsburgh won 34-32 over New York, to start the year at 1-0.

Pittsburgh will use Peppers in the next few games, to help shore up the secondary. Pittsburgh plays the Seattl
