September is always an exciting month for Apple fans with the Californian tech giant announcing its new slate of gadgets for the 2025 Christmas period. That usually includes a brand new set of iPhones, complete with a fresh coat of paint with an updated operating system.
That update to the iOS firmware is set to be a big change this year with iOS 26 bringing with it a whole new visual language called 'Liquid Glass'. It's the biggest visual redesign since iOS 7 when Apple swapped out its old iconography for sleek, flat and minimalist designs.
Apple isn't just returning to a more maximalist design with this new software - it's also adding a bunch of new features under the hood, like call hold assist which can screen incoming spam calls and keep you on hold while you do something else wit
