MINOT, N.D. — While the Dickinson Mavericks girls golf team has struggled for most of the 2025 season, there was one silver lining that came out of Monday’s Minot North Invite. Senior Kyndall Peterson punched her ticket to the state tournament for the third straight year after shooting a qualifying score of 85 (+13), marking a 12th place finish at the meet and leading her team to an eighth-place finish at 373 (+85).

Peterson has been at the top of the DHS leaderboard all season long, and this was the first time this season that she had a chance to earn a ticket to state. To seal a spot in the first qualifier of the season was a big weight off her shoulders.

“It was definitely just kind of relieving to qualify on the first one. You don't have to grip your clubs tight or anything,” Peterso
