IOWA CITY — It’s safe to say Mark Gronowski’s first two games with Iowa football have been largely disappointing.

Through two weeks, the Hawkeyes quarterback is 21-for-39 passing for 127 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Gronowski’s ground production has been serviceable (27 carries, 76 yards), but Iowa’s passing attack hasn’t shown any signs of growth so far. That makes this Week 3 game against UMass important, even with the mismatch between the two rosters.
