Braden River 3, Lakewood Ranch 1: The Braden River volleyball team defeated Lakewood Ranch in a local rivalry matchup, 13-25, 29-27, 25-13, 25-19, on Monday night at Braden River High School. The Pirates (3-3) were led by freshman Molly Lynch, who recorded 16 kills, 18 digs, an ace and 12 service points. Other Pirates players who contributed to the win included seniors Mia McGuire (31 assists, 9 digs, 2 kills), Ashlyn Henry (18 service points, 16 digs, 4 kills, 4 aces), Chloe Pogoda (8 kills, 11 digs, 1 ace) and Molly Horalek (13 kills, 2 blocks).
