Two Lancaster Township men have been charged with neglecting their roommate’s 10 dogs, leaving them malnourished and in filthy conditions that led to the death of one dog.

Raciel Sanz Sanchez, 38, and Rogelio Aguilar-Machado, 35, have been charged with numerous misdemeanor counts of neglect of animals after police were called to their residence on the 1000 block of Sterling Place, which they shared with Osvaldo Coello-Mendoza, the owner of the dogs.

Coello-Mendoza was charged with two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals , six counts of cruelty to animals, and 12 counts of neglect of animals last month.
