Karoline Leavitt Shoots Down Mike Johnson’s Wild Claim Trump Was FBI Operative Tasked With Taking Down Epstein

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Tuesday shot down House Speaker Mike Johnson’s claim that President Donald Trump was an FBI informant.
Last Friday, CNN’s Manu Raju asked Johnson about the case regarding Jeffrey Epstein . Although Trump was previously friends with Epstein, he has repeatedly insisted that anything connected him to the activities of the convicted sex trafficker was a “hoax.”
Seemingly out of nowhere, Johnson told Raju that Trump was an FBI informant and used his close friendship with Epstein to help the federal government take him down.
Two days later, Johnson walked back those comments .
