NEWBURGH, Ind. (WFIE) - The Indiana Department of Environmental Management inspected the PBTT facility on Vann Road on August 8, saying violations were observed.

In a report obtained by 14 News, IDEM inspectors say PBTT had not submitted required reports for October 2024 through February 2025, and for May and June of 2025.

One report is a Discharge Monitoring Report, which is a report prepared by industries and other facilities discharging to surface waters.

PBTT was given 30 days to submit a detailed response documenting the correction of the problems, and a plan for future compliance.

This is in accordance with the company’s permit.
