HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Hazard police arrested a man who they say was trying to meet a 14-year-old girl after exchanging sexually explicit text messages.

Hazard police say a group called Kentucky Predo Pursuit said Randy Caudill, 68, had contacted them on Facebook believing it was a 14-year-old girl.

A screen recording of the text messages showed Caudill contacted them 29 separate days.

The decoy account said it was a 14-year-old on the second text.

Caudill reportedly asked the decoy to meet on September 6 at Memorial Gym to return to his house.

Caudill was arrested the same day and charged with procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means.

He was taken to the Kentucky River Regional Jail in Hazard.
