GREENFIELD, Mo. — The Dade County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) announced a partnership with the Dade County Opiate Board to fund and implement body-worn cameras for all DCSO deputies.

It’s a move Dade County Sheriff Ryan Robison says will enhance transparency, accountability, and safety in opioid-related enforcement and investigations, per a news release.

Deputies will wear new Axon Body 4 cameras at all times while they’re on duty, which means there will be consistent documentation of deputy interactions, responses and enforcement activity, the release says.

“These cameras will be especially critical during high-risk opioid-related calls, including overdose responses, narcotics investigations, and interdiction efforts,” the release says.
