KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City man’s Monday death is under investigation as a homicide.

The Kansas City Missouri Police Department said a man was found dead in the 3200 block of Independence Avenue just before 6 a.m. Monday.

The man’s cause of death could not be determined on Monday. Tuesday, the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office said the man had gunshot wounds.

As a result, homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
