CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Bomb sniffing and tracking K-9 Tito has officially rung the cancer bell and beaten cancer, Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office announced Monday.

Tito underwent several chemotherapy treatments all the while working.

Deputies continued to use Tito's sharp nose to serve Cabarrus County while he battled cancer.

"His courage, loyalty, and determination remind us why our K9s are such an important part of our agency and the community we serve," the sheriff's office said.

Tito wore a crown to celebrate his success.
