PORTLAND, Oregon — Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect who vandalized the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education in Northwest Portland.
According to police, on July 29, around 12:30 a.m., multiple swastikas several inches high were drawn on the museum's windows with light-blue paint-pen ink. A tag, "@cowface23," was also found with the swastikas but in different-colored ink.
Police responded to the scene to investigate on July 29 but are still searching for leads. A bearded man was captured on a surveillance camera, wearing a baseball cap with a slanted P on the front, as well as a t-shirt, baggy pants and sneakers.
Police are investigating the incident as a bias crime.
