LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – 54-A District Court Judge Kristen D. Simmons has decided to dismiss all charges against 15 Michiganders accused of acting as fake electors for Donald Trump following the 2020 presidential election. Supporters say the situation shouldn’t have gone so far, while Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says the decision was wrong.

The charges were originally brought on by AG Nessel who claims the group met “covertly” in December 2020 and “deliberately” attempted to “interfere with and overturn” the election.

“Dana Nessel is a criminal,” said State Rep. Matt Maddock (R-Milford). “She needs to go to prison for what she did to these people. This is a travesty to the United States.”
