LANSING — A state judge has dismissed the charges against 15 so-called ‘false electors’ who sought to influence the counting of Michigan’s electoral votes in the 2020 election.
The individuals were charged with forgery and faced years in prison for allegedly submitting false documents saying that President Trump had won Michigan in 2020.
Tuesday’s decision to dismiss charges against the accused fake electors could conclude the years-long legal saga centered around efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
