IDAHO, USA — Idaho Lieutenant Governor Scott Bedke announced Monday he will be running for re-election in 2026.

Bedke was initially elected to his position in November 2022. He worked in the Idaho House of Representatives for 11 consecutive terms – eventually becoming the longest-running Speaker of the House in the state legislature’s history.

While in the House, Bedke was a member of the Joint Finance & Appropriations Committee, the Revenue & Taxation Committee, the Resources & Conservation Committee, and the Transportation & Defense Committee. He was also chairman of the Economic Outlook & Revenue Assessment Committee and served on the Credit Rating Enhancement Committee.
