MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A pack of aggressive dogs has been attacking pets and other small animals in and around Winton, the sheriff's office said Tuesday.

According to the sheriff's office, at least seven medium-sized dogs have been attacking cats and other small animals around the city, most frequently in the evening, near Winton Way and Walnut Avenue.

Deputies have set out several dog traps in the area and are working to identify the owner of the animals.
