HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - State republicans are demanding answers from the governor after an I-Team report.

In a September 8th report, the I-Team revealed there are questions about what one of the highest paid state employees is doing with your money.

Former CSCU Chancellor Terrence Cheng is now a special advisor to the board, while continuing to make his more than $400,000 a year salary.

The I-Team investigation found that, as an advisor to the board, he hasn’t been attending board meetings.

State republicans sent a letter to the governor today, citing the I-Team report.

The letter says the idea that Cheng is not required to go to board meetings is, “stunning, ridiculous and frankly embarrassing.”

The letter asks the governor how this can be explained to overburdened Connecticut tax
