The Albanese government has launched a new service giving advice to young Australians on the dangers of partying, drinking and taking drugs while overseas.
Foreign Minister Penny Wong announced the “Partying Safely Hub”, provided on the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Smartraveller.com website, on Wednesday.
The Partying Safely Hub provides downloadable posters, factsheets and videos on things like “alcohol safety” and “drugs overseas”.
Ms Wong told Sky News that going overseas to “have a fun time” was “almost a rite of passage for Australians”.
“These are resources on the Smart Traveller website, Partying Safely, tips for parents, for schools, for universities,” she said.
