The 49ers got some good news on Jauan Jennings on Tuesday.

The wide receiver “avoided any significant injury” after scans on his shoulder came back clean, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter .

Jennings is considered day-to-day and could play Sunday when the 49ers head to New Orleans to take on the Saints.

The positive Jennings update comes after San Francisco placed star tight end George Kittle on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

Quarterback Brock Purdy’s status is in question for Sunday’s game after he hurt his left shoulder and toe against the Seahawks.
