The 2025 Mayor’s Bowl is set for Friday. It serves as the first Fairbanks-area rivalry clash of the ASAA DII football season, as North Pole (2-2) hosts Lathrop (3-1) in Week 5.

Entering with momentum, both teams earned wins in their previous contests – North Pole defeated Wasilla and Lathrop rolled past Chugiak. Both teams are also firmly in the playoff picture as the season rolls into its midway point.

North Pole has a 2-2 record overall and is 2-1 in conference play. It puts them in fourth place, tied with Palmer in conference record, who is currently third. Lathrop is 3-1 on the season and unbeaten against DII opponents at 3-0. They are tied atop the conference with Soldotna.
