GREEN BAY, Wis. -- It may be awhile before Packers fans see wide receiver Christian Watson on the field again, as he continues to recover from a torn ACL, but he will be part of the team for at least another year.

The Packers and Watson agreed on a one-year contract extension worth $13.25 million, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter . Watson began the season on the PUP list but is expected to return later this year.

Drafted in the second round in 2022 out of North Dakota State, Watson has produced some shining moments when he has been healthy. In 38 regular season games he has 98 catches for 1653 yards and 14 touchdowns.

However, the good moments have been overshadowed by Watson's struggles to stay on the field. He was limited to just 9 games in 2023 because of a lingering
