Close to 6000 people proved the show really must go on, donning their wet-weather gear to celebrate the Chapman Valley Show’s 75th anniversary at a sodden Nanson Showgrounds on Saturday.

When the stormy weather from last Friday persisted into Saturday, organisers feared the worst. But almost 6000 people still came through the gates to enjoy all the festivities through windows of rain and pockets of sunshine.

Organisers and showgoers gave new meaning to this year’s theme, “Make It Shine” by dressing for the occasion, dodging the large puddles and making the most of the annual day.
