BUFFALO COUNTY, Neb. (KSNB) - Voting is now over for the Buffalo County Joint Special Election, where voters will decide on two separate issues in the county.
As of 5:21 p.m., there are currently more votes against a Buffalo County - LEC Bond, with 6,720 people voting against the bond and 3,391 people voting for it.
Meanwhile, the Elm Creek Village Sales and Use Tax remains at a close race, with 125 people voting for the tax, and 97 against the tax.
Buffalo County voters will have to decide on whether or not to approve a $72 million bond for a proposed law enforcement center .
This would be to fund the new co-location for the Kearney Police Department and the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office.
