BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) -- A man from Raleigh County was sentenced for violating the Federal Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.

According to a press release from the United States Department of Justice, 61-year-old Anthony Broadnax, of Beckley, was sentenced on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 to one year and six months in prison, followed by five years of parole, for failure to register as a sex offender, as required by the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA), after he moved from Virginia to West Virginia.
