Joey Cantillo tossed eight-plus scoreless innings to lead the Guardians to a 2-0 win over the Royals. The lefty held Kansas City to four hits and struck out five on 92 pitches (72 strikes).
It was a needed performance for Cleveland, as Kansas City starter Noah Cameron also delivered an impressive start. Cameron allowed just two runs on six hits with eight strikeouts over seven innings.
