SYRACUSE, N.Y (WSYR-TV) -- The Onondaga County Clerk's Office is now offering extended hours for passport applications, starting this Wednesday, September 10, from 4 p.m to 6 p.m. every other Wednesday.
This initiative aims to provide residents with more convenient access to passport services, especially for those who cannot visit during regular business hours. The decision comes in response to an increase in passport demand due to recent travel restrictions.
"I've definitely seen an uptick, especially because of the travel restrictions," said Onondaga County Clerk Emily Bersani, who has been in office for a year and a half.
The extended hours will initially be available twice a month, with appointments required. Residents can call the County Clerk's Office to schedule their visit.
