BRUNSWICK, Maine — A biotech startup in Brunswick is giving fish waste a new purpose by transforming it into biomedical products used in research and diagnostics.
Salmonics will soon be the first member of Northeastern University's Roux Institute BioPilot program, which supports Maine-based biotech companies by offering access to shared lab space and equipment for research..
Cem Giray launched Salmonics, a biotech company, five years ago, with a mission to maximize the value of fish waste.
