MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Madison Metropolitan School District’s logo is getting a facelift.

On Tuesday, the district revealed its new logo. It comes as part of the district’s effort to be a collaboration and a destination school.

Superintendent Dr. Joe Gothard said that their brand is important so people know who they are.

“This is a visual identity that honors our history while boldly looking forward,” Superintendent Gothard said. “It belongs to our entire community, and it represents the strength, pride and promise of public education in Madison.”

School officials said identity is important and they want to be proud of who they are as a district.
