MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - Enrollment for the Minot Public School District is slightly down this year.
The district released its cumulative enrollment totals comparing numbers from last year to now, so far.
As of Sept. 3, the district is down 225 students from last year.
When we spoke with Superintendent Scott Faul earlier this school year, he indicated the drop could be coming from kindergarten enrollment.
Elementary schools take up most of the district’s enrollment with 3,621 students.
High schoolers are just above 2,000, followed by middle schoolers at 1,680.
We’ve reached out to Faul for further comment.
Enrollment numbers are on the agenda for Thursday’s school board meeting.
Minot is the fourth-largest school district in the state, according to the website Niche .
