BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Several children were injured in a wreck in Bryan on Monday night.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) told KBTX it was around 9 p.m. when a distracted driver traveling east along Elmo Weedon Road hit another vehicle driving in the westbound lane.
According to a crash report from Texas DPS, the driver of a 2020 Jeep Gladiator was picking up a bottle off the floor of their car, veered into the left lane, and hit a 2024 Honda Pilot in the Westbound lane. There were three children in the Pilot.
The driver of the Pilot was a 30-year-old woman and the three children were ages 10, 8, and 4. Texas DPS said the 4-year-old was in a car seat but not properly buckled in when their vehicle was hit.
