A 58-year-old man was taken to the Campbell County Health emergency room Monday afternoon after a 17-year-old boy hit him on Interstate 90 near mile marker 131, a few miles east of town.

Sheriff Scott Matheny said the man's injuries were not life threatening.

The 17-year-old was driving a Ford Taurus when he hit the 58-year-old near mile marker 131. It was not clear from the deputy's report how the crash occurred or where the man was hit because Wyoming Highway Patrol took over the investigation.

Deputies received the call at 1:31 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, the 58-year-old was complaining of head pain and was leaning against a flatbed semi truck loaded with materials, Matheny said, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
