MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A Memphis dad is counting his blessings after he was robbed at gunpoint in front of his young children early Sunday morning in Frayser.

No physical injuries were reported, but the victim conceded lingering emotional stressors.

He told FOX13 he was walking home from an early morning trip to the store with his two kids when they came face-to-face with gun-toting thieves.

"The only thing I could think of, 'Man, these folks finna real deal shoot me in front of my kids,'" the father said. "I've done been shot before, and it's a scary feeling, if you've been through some stuff like that."

He asked FOX13 not to share his identity because the suspects are still on the loose.
