GARRETT, Ind. (WPTA) - The Garrett-Keyser-Butler School Board voted to ban six books over sexual/objectionable content.
This decision comes after the board held a special meeting on Friday, where members debated whether certain titles should be blocked from the district’s curriculum.
Only one board member voted against the ban, noting that new state laws require the district to make a list of any curriculum with sexual content, allowing parents the option to opt out of any human sexuality instruction for their children.
