Man who stalked woman for months walks free from court

A stalker who kept trying to approach a woman in Bristol over the course of several months has walked free from court following his conviction.

Kola Adetu, 45 and from Overnhill Road, Downend , Bristol, was found guilty of stalking without causing fear, alarm or distress by magistrates at court in Bristol.

Adetu persistently approached his victim with propositions in the street and at her home in Staple Hill over the course of several months from May 2024.

Kola Adetu, 45, was sentenced at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 4 September.

On September 4, he was sentenced to a two-year restraining order and must complete a 12-month community order of 100 hours of unpaid work and a 20-day rehabilitation activity.
