PAWTUCKET – The Zoning Volunteer Task Force this summer has steadily increased its monitoring activity, leading to numerous citations by the Zoning Department.
According to Zoning Director Carl Johnson, the group continues to monitor properties throughout the city and report findings to his department. Follow-up inspections are scheduled, and property owners are cited when necessary.
The following 74 violations have been documented since the task force was launched with a kickoff meeting on June 25:
• High grass – 26
• Trash and debris – 21
• Unregistered vehicles – 8
• Rodent harborage – 2
• Graffiti – 5
• Vacant properties – 2
• Exterior walls in need of painting – 4
• Business operating in a residential zone – 1
• Parking on an unpaved surface – 5
