GULF SHORES, Ala. (WKRG) — City of Gulf Shores officials are working on Wednesday to recount the city council Place 1 votes.

Lucas Burger, who ran for Place 1, demanded the recount. Burger received just 9 percent of the vote in the three-person race.

The recount began at 10 a.m. at the Gulf Shores Activity Center.
