ROCK ISLAND CO., Ill. (KWQC) - Quad City community leaders say they are forming a Rock Island County Passenger Rail committee to focus on pushing for the passage of the Chicago-to-Moline Passenger Rail project .

Officials said the committee will focus its energy on efforts to generate support for the rail project within the Quad Cities region and beyond.

Richard “Quinjas” Brunk, Chairman of the Rock Island County Board will chair the rail committee along with other community and economic development leaders, according to a media release.
