CLEMSON, S.C. (WSPA) - Clemson University has announced that it will be sunsetting all commissions that were created to support specific groups such as the LGBTQ+ community.

In an announcement shared on the Clemson News website, the University stated that all commissions have fulfilled their duty.

"The University deeply values the contributions of its commissions, which for many years have provided meaningful opportunities for dialogue and community building," shared the university. "Commission members have given generously of their time, energy and ideas to support a stronger, more connected University, and their work is appreciated."

Some groups that were initially listed on the Clemson site were the Accessibility Commission, Asian Pacific Islander DESI American Commission, Commission
