PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (ABC22/FOX44) - New York Governor Kathy Hochul was in Plattsburgh on Tuesday, and she highlighted a multi-million dollar investment into the state's border security.
Hochul spoke at New York State Police Troop B's headquarters, saying she wanted to see what the money is being used on first hand – specifically, $8 million that was allocated in the 2026 state budget. That money follows $3 million previously approved by the state legislature.
The governor says that money has already gone to good use. She says that more investigators have been hired and more resources have gone into counter-terrorism efforts.
