Memorial University is one of several post secondary institutions selected to receive a grant from the Mastercard Foundation to mark work under Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

MUN gets $5-million in one-time funding to support a broad range of initiatives focusing on the recommendations in its Strategic Framework for Indigenization.

Catharyn Andersen, vice-president (Indigenous) at MUB says they are deeply honoured.

The university says it will strategically allocate the donation to pan-institutional initiatives that will enhance both the academic quality and the student experience at Memorial.
