SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Railroad Museum is seeking a $1.6 million grant to help them with their ongoing flood recovery.
According to a release from the Siouxland Historical Railroad Association, they have applied for a $1.6 million grant that would help them with their flood recovery efforts, which began after the 2024 Siouxland flood.
Many historically significant structures at the museum were damaged during the flood. Curators spent time gathering photos and other evidence to build their case on why they should receive the grant.
