EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Federal, state and local leaders are sending their thoughts and prayers after Conservative political activist Charlie Kirk was shot on Wednesday, Sept. 10, during The American Comeback Tour at Utah Valley University.
In a statement from the university, shortly after 1 p.m., shots were fired at Kirk, according to our parent station, Nexstar.
“He was hit and taken from the location by his security. Campus police is investigating, a suspect is in custody,” the statement said.
